There are those ever-so-often moments in a parents life when things just get crazy messy. Take for example, the first time we started feeding our daughter puree food out of a bowl with a spoon and a good portion of it ended up in her hair instead of her mouth. Or even when we witnessed her first blowout while in the Target parking lot. I could go on and on about the chunky throw-up that has graced the front of one two many t-shirts….and pants….and soaked into the socks…..right before it settled in the top of my shoe.
We’ve all had those moments as parents and lord knows there are many more in our future, and what better of an event to participate in where YOUR messy story could win you some awesome prizes. That’s right, on Wednesday the 9th you can take part in the Clorox “Ick Awards” Twitter party hosted by HowToBeADad.com, Mom Spark, and Second City Communications.
Here’s how the Twitter Party works:
1. They’ll give an awards category (comedy, drama, etc.) to inspire messy stories and funny ideas.
2. You’ll all Tweet your ideas with the #Ickies hashtag.
3. Then an Improv video will be made and presented nearly-live in the Twitter event! Maybe from YOUR Tweet!
Not just any Improv video, a video starring Rachel Dratch from Saturday Night Live!
But that’s not all! They’ll also be giving away $2,500 in Twitter Party prizes plus the grand prize winner will receive a Custom Movie Poster with their face on it!
We all have scars (some emotional, some actual) from all the times we’ve had to deal with poop, pee, puke, and all manner of substances launched at us from our kids. Its one of the things that unites us all as parents! So come out for this shin-dig and share YOUR stories for a great laugh, and the chance to win some of these awesome prizes.
